This piece of bouncy R&B comes from the mind of exciting newcomer Kalisway. ‘Durag’ is a fresh, sunny track that places Kalisway’s acrobatic voice in the foreground, over fat basslines, jazzy chords and bright drum patterns. A sense of fun and playfulness is evident throughout the track. Kalisway explains that the tune “makes me feel confident, fun and strong all in one, and I wanted to keep those emotions prevalent in the final craft. Keeping the freshness and raw ideas that I had from the start creating Durag was important, but so was living it up with colourful chords and energy and I know Durag is full of just that.” Keep any eye out for more modern R&B/funk form Kalisway in the coming months. -Dan Peeke
